Copy for External Imaging

Search Results of a Project Data-based View > Copy for External Imaging

Requires Project Data - Add/Edit Permissions

You can use External Imaging to replace existing baseline images from a set of results in the Project with a set of externally processed or provided baseline images.

From a Search Result view based on Project Data (for example, from a search of Project Data, a Custodian, or a Folder), users in a role with permissions can use the Copy for External Imaging option to copy native files from the entire Search Result view to an Export Data Area. These native files can then be used for imaging outside the application.

Copy for External Imaging Options

  • Export Data Area (required)— Select a target Export Data Area from the list of available Export Data Areas (a paged list).
  • Folder (required, as indicated by the red asterisk *)As soon as you select an Export Data Area, the appropriate Folder information appears to the right. Navigate and select the appropriate Folder, opening a top-level folder to navigate within that Folder. If a Folder name is truncated, you can hover over the name and a tooltip displays the entire name.

Note: The operation requires an entire Search Results view and copies the whole view to the designation Export Data Area. It does not support individual file selection. The External Image Import option for Project Data copies the processed files back. It also does not support individual file selection.
